Prof. Peter Frankopan is Professor of Global History at the University of Oxford, Senior Research Fellow at Worcester College, and Director of the Oxford Centre for Byzantine Research. He specialises in the history of the Byzantine Empire, Silk Roads, Russia, Central Asia, and cultural exchange across Eurasia.
