Education reform and the need to rethink how children learn are, heart of this Majlis Mohamed bin Zayed session. The session addresses how to move beyond a traditional, competitive model of education toward one that guarantees mastery for every student. The session critiques the limitations of conventional systems, including the concept of ‘Swiss cheese’ learning, and introduces the ‘learning success cycle’ alongside the development of key ‘habits of success’. The speaker reflects on the essential roles of teachers, parents, and technology – emphasising that while technology can support education, it must not replace the human relationships that underpin it. The session calls for a new educational paradigm that unlocks the full potential of learners and prepares them for a changing world.
